Vien is a remarkable personal trainer who brings much “value added” to my workouts from his first year in Pacific’s physical therapy program. He has a very balanced approach and is always changing it up for muscles and keeping it interesting. Vien’s stressing of “proper form” results in effective and safe workouts. His stretching sessions at the end of each workout are a combination of normal stretching and therapeutic stretching. His focus on improving my range of motion has been a great adjunct to my sessions.

Vien is an excellent personal trainer who helped me understand how each muscle was supposed to work in a given exercise, which in turn helped me target the right muscles. After working out with Vien, I had a better understanding of how the muscles work together and that gave me the ability to diversify workouts without hurting myself. He genuinely cared about his clients and got the best out of them because we never felt like we were blindly going through the motions. I met with Vien once a week but the structure of those sessions and the knowledge given gave me the motivation to return to the gym on my own, without the anxiety of not being sure what to do.

"Vien is a great personal trainer. As someone who has been working out independently for years, training with Vien has been a pleasant change of pace for my body. Vien is incredibly supportive but at the same time his brutal honesty and no-excuses attitude motivates me to do better. He is knowledgeable in many areas of training - we have done everything from heavy lifting to HIIT to boxing to TRX to functional training. In addition, Vien has some background in physical therapy, which comes in handy if you ever have an injury.
